The only current SEC coaches who coached a game for their team in the 2010s:
-Nick Saban
-Mark Stoops
-Kirby Smart
And Venables and Sark weren’t here either.

Wild times man. Coaches are indeed hired to be fired.

Nick Saban is the prime cause of this stat

and it will only get worse in this day and age of college athletics
smart might be the only one in a position to stay at UGA for a very long time and he's young enough to shatter Saban number of nattys especially with Saban nearing the end

I mean, you don't get a 10MM per year job without it having expectations

Well when you make 5 mil plus a year that seems acceptable.

Little misleading. There were a lot of long tenured coaches who were old by the late 2010’s I.E. Spurrier, Les, and Richt. There’s been a lot of turnover lately but basically every good program in the SEC has had a long tenured head coach within the last 10 years, and that’s not counting guys like Mullen at Mississippi State and Jimbo at A&M.

SEC coach is truly one of the GOAT professions. Coach for between 1 and 5 years, get fired, then spent the next 5 years collecting tens of millions sitting on the beach in Destin.
