Not a surprise. Should never have been hired in the first place.

Damn you beat me to it by like 3 seconds.

OK, so I think Jeff Tedford would be a good hire here, if he doesn't decide to take a year off (which he should).

Agreed. But CU has no concern at all about winning, so I thought they would keep him another year.

He only made $725,000 a year. At a PAC 12 school. That won a national championship back in the 90s. DERP.

Maybe. I wish they'd hire Fulmer.

Probably shouldn't let McCartney handle this coaching search

Bill McCartney hand picked him also. CU was gold mine until Njieda showed up.

I have no clue who would go save that disaster.

They should try to get someone with FCS winning experience, such as guy at Montana St. Or go get someone that can get into AZ UT and KS jucos.

I would say not.

Hey, why don't y'all fire Kiffin and let him come to Colorado? They'll be thrilled with 7-5 here and y'all can go get a real coach.

Me either. It's not a good job right now. But it really could be if they cared to try and make it.

Colorado will be getting a lot more money with the PAC 12 TV contracts than they were getting in the Big 12 though, so they really should do their best not to go bargain basement with this next hire. Hawkins was considered a slam dunk at the time, given his track record at Boise, but Embree was a real head scratcher.

but but but they hired the best black head coach they could! - former cu coach bill mccartney

maybe next time they will find the best coach they can, and not worry about race.

I go after Eastern Washington's coach. He builds from Juco and transfers. Get skill guys from that instate kids on lines and recruit Denver/Columbine exclusively.

That might not be a bad bet. FCS coaches are always a huge risk, but some times they work out (like Jim Tressel). But Colorado really doesn't have anything to lose. Apathy is at an all time high, so why not?

This is where I said Petrino would end up.

Just do not see Ol Bobby back in the SEC.
