Why would you think Jerry would relinquish any decision making to a head coach?
Saban would demand full control over personnel decisions, something that would never fly in Dallas.
Jerry doesnt want a coach with a strong personality that would take the spotlight away from him in any way. He wants a yes-man that he can control. He’s just Al Davis 2.0.

AMEN! Saban probably had enough of that in Miami with Schula. Supposedly, he agreed to come to Bama under the condition he was given control. There were/still are a few of Bear's relatives around. (In addition to, and considerably older than Paul Tyson.)

Mike Bobo at Colorado State is definitely on the hot seat. Highest salary in the conference, hasn’t delivered much and will be 3-9 this year. He also has some health problems
