Worst case scenario would be pissing O off bad enough that he takes a position on the Bama staff.

His ties to Louisiana and recruiting could hurt us big time.

What was the temperature at the end of the game? He may have just been freezing his arse off. I look uncomfortable when the temperature is in the 50's.

I don't think Alabama can recruit any better than they already are right now.

I'm so sick of this fear. Bama can only take 25 every year and they already get who they want. Orgeron will not help them.

You now what would hurt our program more than O leaving for Bama?

O getting hired as HC and tanking our program like he tanked at Ole Miss.

No. worst case would be naming him perm HC just so we retain him.

I would like to keep O if he would be a happy part of the new staff, but it would be far better to let him walk (wherever he went) than have him stay if he were disgruntled.

Even a great individual coach can't put his personal feelings or issues above the common program goals. The ways in which he has campaigned for the job make me worry he wouldn't be excited to stay on in his position as DL/RC. That's too bad, but it can't alter the need to hire the best possible head coach.

Agreed. You hire the best head coach and let him decide which coaches to keep or change, even Aranda. And I think Aranda is outstanding, and I'd hope he'd stay. I'd love to see Orgeron stay as DL coach/recruiter, but if he'd be butthurt, then tell him bye.

Putting an Aranda condition on Fisher is not productive. You trust that Fisher knows what he's doing, whether he retains Aranda or lets him go. No coach is above the program.

He is absolutely correct and I am more twice that age! You must want to see the 1990s again with Orgeron hired?

I don't know your age, but you're the moron if you think it makes sense to name O HC just to keep him around.

Two things explain his look

1) Upset at players celebrating with 10 minutes left in the game.
2) No need to look happy. We are supposed to beat Arkansas.

Probably reads Tigerdroppings and can't understand why everyone wants a coach who loses 3 games with arguably top 3 average rank recruiting classes during his tenure at FSU over him.

I think everyone agrees we need to hire the best possible HC, but that might just be Orgeron. Hard to say right now. The evaluation of Orgeron is taking place every Saturday and we don't know who else is available or what they bring to the table.
