I'd be impressed if Mullen at Miss. St. went 5-15 against LSU and Bama. I think that is a pretty comparable situation.

...at Texas Tech. That's not a bad record at all.

well, this doesnt account for down years by those 2 teams and it doesnt factor in the really good teams they lost to not named UT/OU

c'mon Dog, it's like having fantasies of having sex with the hottest girl on campus....we know it won't happen, it's a lil frustrating, but it's fun to dream...let us have our fun...

Until Leach settles his suit, apologizes for negligence, and shows some sort of remorse he will never coach in any league. He is to toxic for ANY Athletic Director or President/Chancellor to even get near. Damn, people need to think clearly about this situation.

8 win seasons with 11 win seasons still get us a 10 win average over his tenure.

Deal with it.

FWIW, here's what belowpar actually saidabout CLM and Leach:

First mention...

I think its back to a situation where if Miles can get someone he really wants he gets rid of Crowton. If he doesn't get someone he ideally wants then he won't. Again these things aren't black/white as of now.

I am hearing he wants Leach.

Next...

I agree, honestly I don't see it as a good fit, but who am I to say :)

Now I have no clue if Leach is interested in the job, but I hear Miles is going to find out.

And next...

but chill guys...That does not mean that Leach has any interest or it will happen.

I just know he is going to pursue it and see what happens.

And still, next...

Someone said it on the previous page but I want to make sure everyone understands what I'm saying.

I have NO IDEA if Leach is interested or WOULD come to LSU. In fact I don't think they have even talked.

All I'm saying is Miles is going to find out if there is any interest and I fully believe that Leach would be his first choice if he could have him.

I don't personally agree with it or think he'd be a good fit. I'm just telling you he's #1 on Miles list IF a change is made.

No 'think' in any of these posts, but 'what I'm hearing' [from CLM], and I 'know' he's going to look into Leach'.

And, then, a day later, this...

Seems today Leach might be somewhat of a longshot. I think there has been some feeler conversations with Kragthorpe already.

So what I'm gathering from belowpar, as far as the end of November, CLM was interested in Leach and for whatever reason, it became a longshot (they didn't connect, their personalities clashed, Leach outright said 'no', etc.).

He did say Miles wants Leach but then came back the next day and said he seems like a longshot.

reminder: that was when Leach was rumored to be atop of several major programs' HC lists.

All of this is true, but with any situation, 'time heals all wounds' and Leach has time on his side. That being said, I don't see any chance of him being at LSU...it's not going to happen...

I'm certainly not high on myself but it's fine. I won't get into a pissing contest over it. I just don't think a moron can have a 10-win average in NCAA football over 6 years.

And that is in the SEC not the WAC.
