now they are getting an 8th tier candidate and even if he sucks they can't fire him for at least 3 or 4 years

The funniest part is not who they ended up with, its how long they waited. This coach is goingto take that job knowing he was their 5th choice at best and the only reason he got the job was that quinn and gase made it to the superbowl.

And theyll be stuck with him for the duration, even though he is going to flop.

Browns (now) or Raiders (2007-2011)?

Pettine is a really good coach, but he was the assistant leaking shite to the media about the Jets in '12.

frick him for that. Browns are a good fit.

This is going to end up well for the Browns. Pettine is a young, fiery coach! The fans will love him and the Defense will drool over him. If he gets a good OC...this team will be a nice story next year

Home run hire without a doubt.

His bio lists that he is..
1. No good before 10 A.M.
2. Not interested in coaching a team that has ever been successful in its history
3. And freaking old people for money and bear traps are his two bugga-boo's.
