Were not big name hires when they were hired. However, they have been successful coaches.

I’m no longer a fan of big name coaches. You over pay. You have the same shot choosing a big name coach as some who doesn’t have the name. The days of finding the next Nick Saban is over. I think coaches shelf life is 4-5 years now. It’s a different world.

You look four years ago, Lincoln Riley, Kelly, Napier, etc. none of them had succes. cignetti has.

No one had a better resume than Kelly.

I think paying a lot of money for a guy like Kiffin is foolish. He was the disappointment last year. He went for it on his own 25 against OU which could have cost him that game. By the way, that was his first road victory over a top 25 team.

I think you do your due diligence and try to find that driven guy for success. You want to pay the big money to keep him (second contract) vs the big money to hire him or fire him.
