No, not even close. I am just analyzing the situation and being honest about possibilities. Furthermore, Cauble has proven himself as an "investigative reporter" and his reputation in that area isn't that good. He's using this post to get his article hits and viewer's to his show.
I am just saying that him telling Sheppard that does not mean he's not leaving. The deal may not be finalized yet, so those claiming a done deal could be the ones that are wrong.
I think Chavis won't sign a deal until after the bowl game if he does do it. Word is getting out that its a possibility and lots of chatter and people assuming its a done deal. Players likely got wind of this, and are like WTF? What is Chavis supposed to say? Is Sheppard going to know before Chavis' family? Based on that quote, that's what is being said.

Makes a lot of sense.

It does, but it very well could be that he is not leaving. None of us really know.

too bad for those who wanted him gone. You would think people would realize how good Chavis is when two SEC coaches who went against him multiple times made him the #1 priority to fill open DC spots.

He wasn't our #1 choice last season dude, and he's not UGA's #1 priority either so not sure where you are getting that from.

If Chavis is shown to be lying to Sheppard then he is not wanted around here

WTF did this dude do to you.
If you dont trust his info, dont listen.
Hell I talk daily with a guy WAAAYYY up in the system, and he is right about 50 percent of the time......shite changes rapidly behind the scenes down there. As a matter of fact, I just hung up with him, and he says there is definitely smoke in the Chavis to Ga deal, but like I said....flip a coin.
But you chiming in ALL THE TIME regarding BP is just kinda freaking silly.

If I am to read between the lines of his statement, then Chavis is now a UCF man.

Pretty obvious to me that most of you have never been that involved personally with a coach. I am a coach and I will tell you sometimes those players become family. I don't think for a minute that he would deceive Sheppard or any other player because he knows he would sever a bond that will last a lifetime. A player and a coach can form a bond that is almost as thick as blood. The statement he made to Sheppard tells me that he truly loves the kid and vice versa. So, until I see more evidence I am going to believe he STAYS!

This is why chicken doesn't like rumors posted on the site
it isn't true until lsu says it's true
until then it is just speculation

Chavis is now a UCF man

What happened in this press conference?

I did not state that he doesn't see these kids as family, but I am sure he'd let his family know first and then the players. Let's be realistic here.
Honestly, I think the fact that there is even SMOKE to Chavis leaving means something beyond his family issues is going on. Whether it is a major rift or not is up to speculation.
