Weis signed his new deal Monday, and Ole Miss hired East Carolina offensive coordinator John David Baker the next day.

The board is expected to approve previously-reported terms for Kiffin, Baker, head of strength and conditioning Nick Savage, co-offensive coordinator and tight ends coach Joe Cox, passing game coordinator and wide receivers coach George McDonald and director of player personnel Mike Williams.

LSU is set to approve a two-year deal for new offensive line coach Eric Wolford that will pay him an average of $937,500 per year and a two-year deal for new quarterbacks coach Dane Stevens worth $350,000 per year. With Wolford confirmed as the offensive line coach, LSU only needs a running backs coach to complete Kiffin’s offensive staff.

You cannot post that. The Ole Miss guys are fixing to come in and say they never wanted him!

That is a stupid deal for a guy who isn't even the brains behind the offense and is likely quite replaceable.

Added to the OP, but Wilson also reported a few other things, mainly that Wolford will get his new deal approved tomorrow and is the OL coach

Not really. Kiffin lets him call and sometimes he'll take the play sheet. This isn't uncommon for great defensive minded/offensive coaches. A HC still has other duties you need guys like this.

It’s becoming obvious that Kevin Smith is almost a lock to come here, hopefully Lacy is a package deal

He's the primary playcaller for an offense that had the #6 rated QB in America as a transfer from Ferris State.

Pay the man his money

Lol. Kiffin having him allows Kiffin to focus on HC shite. Why would he want to train/build a relationship someone else or go back to play calling when what he's been doing works?
And it's not your money

Was his father an offense minded coach? Maybe he gets some of his tendencies from him

T-Bob says Jeff Landry, upon being sat down and told that forcing LSU to go the budget route would be political and possibly physical suicide, did a 180 and is basically extorting oil companies to donate or risk losing cushy deals/tax breaks so he can take credit for saving LSU football.

More times than not it’s the players not coaches that decide success. Some of these coaches should be sending royalty checks to their high-performing players. Lol

We do Ole Miss a favor by lending them our coaching staff, and they try to poach our OC.
I guess this gives us an excuse to recruit portal players while we are there.
