my point was that we would not have to worry about loosing our whole coaching staff to UM.

I hope and pray that he stays. Yes I said pray. Miles really is a great coach/leader/mentor. He teaches class because he is a classy guy, and I think he does a good job preping players for the NFL.

So, is there anyone on here that actually thinks Miles WILL stay at LSU???????

I do. I have to because I'm an LSU Tiger and to me there is no greater place in America than Tiger Stadium on a Saturday night. I love LSU and I love Coach Miles and what he has done for us.

You look at what Bo and Crowton make... Not many HC in the MAC, WAC, CUSA and Sun Belt make what they make. LSU pays very well.

Keep crowton as the oc no matter what and maybe hire a head coach with a defensive background...that seemed to work last time....but of coarse i pray to God we dont lose Miles.

I think both Bo and Crow make more than Derek Dooley does.

I think the feeling of most Michigan fans is that if a coach can win in the SEC, they'd fare pretty well in the big 10 where the only roadblock is one "tough" team per yr (PSU or Wisconsin in a good year) and of course the OSU game.

I've been saying for a while I don't think he'll leave.

Everyone seems to think its a matter of whether Les wants to geaux home, I'm sure he love to, the question is whether Michigan thinks he's the only guy for them.

I don't think that is the case.

It's not just what he does on the field, but more importantly what he does off the field. He showed his character following Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. This year I was very impressed with him by the way he handled the situation at the Varsity.

If Miles takes the Michigan job before LSU loses another game or wins the NC, HE WILL NOT COACH THE TIGERS AGAIN. Letting him coach would be a huge travesty with his mind not fully on the task at hand. You HAVE to give the rest of the year to Pelini if Miles takes the job

Which is why I believe he will stay at LSU. He has the Tigers at the top in the nation while playing in the best conference in America.

L. Carr announcing his retirement early did not do good for Miles chances
michigan isn't going to wait until january 5th to hire a coach. they won't

Miles not going to risk his what could be his only chance at a national championship, and that's what would happen if he even entertained the thought of talking to michigan.

The more I think about this "Miles to Michigan" crap the more it seems like this is a possible script for a future blockbuster movie.
Imagine that a college coach, who was saved from the ranks of the "Little Sisters of the Poor" in the Big 12 by being invited to take over a team that had just won the BCS trophy a mere 2 years prior and still loaded with future NFL players. Lets add the theme that this team goes through the season fighting its way through its schedule with a number of gutty calls and last minute victories and, with only 2 games to go to get to the "Promise Land" of college football, this coach gets caught up in a power play with the coach's alma mater.

This crap is just too unreal to even think someone could make this stuff up.

You would think that we paid our dues with all of the Saban drama. Oh well, I guess we just have to subscribe to the old saying in Hollywood: Just keep your name in the public's eye and you'll eventually get the part of a lifetime. Maybe we'll get the right guy the next time.

I think he will take the Mich job whenever it's offered...even at risk of losing out on the MNC.

I think he stays. He seems happy here.
I think he has found his pot of gold over the rainbow and won't be going back.

My opinion. I think that he is contemplating it, but that he will stay and coach at LSU for years to come (after a large pay raise)

That would make little sense to most. A coach's dream is to win the MNC.
