bba tiger your list is good for the most part, except tubby, he won't come here and we really shouldn't want him to come here.

I agree in part....do you really think Miles would walk before a NC game? I don't. I think they will have this worked out. Miles came in late because of Saban and did fine. Michigan recruits itself and what better tool than a fresh NC to nail down a solid if not a top 10 class.
There is time before signing day especially with a NC under your belt.

that wasn't the point. that's what everyone said about Meyer when he was hired. Leach may or may not make it in the SEC, but to make an absolute statement about it right now is i think a bit foolish.

All of this is speculation until the day decisions are made on all sides. There are so many factors that will impact how this all plays out, there's no way anyone can predict the outcome -- not Miles, Michigan, Sports Gurus, or Bertman, and certainly not us. in the sec, you cant win without a running game. if OK had any sort of backup QB, they would have come back and beat the hell out of TT because TT could not run the clock out. they have backup QBs in the SEC.
also, the defense would be asked to double the about of snaps they are currently taking. i dont think you could ask that much of a defense in the sec.

More reasons for John Fox:
1. He is undefeated in Tiger Stadium
2. He would have a package deal for QB coach with Jake Delhomme (where better for Delhomme to be mentored to take over at ULL)
3. He does not have nostalgic connections to another college team

I would love to see Spurrier get the job if Miles leaves. Although he is getting up there in age, I think he has alot of good coaching and recruiting still in him.

How does board interpret Carr's comment about timing, saying it would be ridiculous to wait until after Jan 7 because of recruiting? ESPN insinuated that was intended for Miles. I have also read Carr does not want Miles to be hired. How does board interpret his timing comment?
