I'm not worried about Miles leaving because he WILL be gone. That is a no brainer!
I'm just a little worried about how the team is going to perform. I think they'll be okay, but you know it's on their minds.
At least Miles isn't out there saying "I'm not going to Michigan." Everyone knows he is. You're an idiot if you think he's staying. LSU could offer him $5 mil and he is still going back to Michigan.
Write it in the books, the man is gone!
Don't give me the crap of "Michigan hasn't even offered him the job or that they may not even want him." Get real! It's done!
Thanks for 3 great years Miles! It's been nice.
Geaux Tigers!

You are comparing 2 NFL failures and one incomplete to Bill Cowher. Those are some great facts you have there.

The only problem with Jason Garrett is that you would only have until Jerry Jones offers him the Cowboy job which will come sooner than later. Garrett knows he is in line to follow Wade Phillips in the future.

FACT: He and Cowher both have mustaches. They are one in the same.

I can't wait for Ms. Del Rio to start looking at houses on Highland Road.

Could Miles just be holding out on saying I am not going to Michigan to get a bigger contract from LSU?

my understanding LSU really doesn't have to approach anyone. Interested coaches will, through their agents, feel out the LSU job, and gage interest. Then you have the usual round of coaches getting raises from their current jobs and taking their "hats out of the ring", etc. Those are usually the guys that have no shot anyways. Tubby will use this to leverage both A&M and the BURN. LSU will have a new coach shortly after the last game (which ever that ends up being) and if we do a MNC there will be time for Miles and the players to celebrate.

My opinion, Bo has no shot.

If that is his motive the best way is just win the MNT and get a pay raise to $3mil.

The NC is a reality that only a TINY percentage of head coaches ever reach.

Is there precendent for a head coach making a job change in the wake of a national championship?

Somebody (I'm pretty sure one of the poster on this site) wrote the other day that Tubberville had a really exorbirant buy out. It wasn't linked though so I don't know how true it was. Anybody else got any info on this?

I think Miles is staying at LSU, because:
1. Carr remains in Ath Dept, Carr no fan of Miles
2. Assistants have 2 year contract
3. Miles has the reputation of being reckless, i.e. "the madd hatter"
4. Mich is as boring and conservative as they come, therefore not a good match
5. Mich sees how successful Tressell has been, thus will try to duplicate that hire by hiring a lesser known up and comer.
6. Some bad blood - Miles voted Fla #2 over Mich last year and a couple of recruiting battles

all of which leads me to think that Mich will not offer Les the job. If Mich offers, Les is gone.

If you had to rate it percentage wise, go or stay, how would you rate it?

I say it's 85% Go

It would be kind of like a former LSU player who is a hot coaching prospect and LSU wanted him. You don't think he would jump at the opportunity to coach for his beloved Tigers?

I don't think he is coming here. I'm just pointing out how retarded it is to compare him to Callahan and Wandstedt and suggest he'd be a failure in college, while in the next breath blowing Tubberville.

This is precisely why the would hire Les Miles.

This is one of the dumbest things I've ever read.

EXACTLY!

all the P&G would be saying "its a no brainier, why would he want to come home and win 10 MNC’s at LSU, better people, food, etc"
