rumored replacements

The only name the HC gave as a replacement in a press conference?

The original post was I am glad Canada is not coming back. Didnt include any comment on ensminger. Another season of trying to make it work out would have been a waste. Some of you guys that know everything about the game should go research your way into more productive activities than message board posting.

This is stupid.

You dont buy out a OC in his first year that has not been allowed to call his offense unless he is a failure. By no measurable amount can you claim Canada was a failure.

Using the same standard Orgeron should be fired.

Canada was terrible. He was outperformed by Ensminger last year. Cutting bait with that guy was a great move. Attracted no elite QB prospects and did not really help Danny progress in any way. Overpayed jerk. Good Riddance.

100 % agree. He was a tremendous disappointment at every level.

If he sucked, shouldn't the guy who hired him be held responsible?

I’m not saying Canada is the best in the business, but his record speaks for itself.

My question is, why is Canada now looking for his 7th team in 9 years? Is it the 8 schools fault or Matts?

Far superior team in 2016.

Also Ensminger was just calling plays and faced an even worse SEC. yet the only two defenses worth anything we stunk.

Let’s compare 2016 Alabama/Florida stats to 2017 Alabama/Florida stats then.

Uhhh he led Wisconsin to the big 10 championship.

NC State and LSU are the only two stops I'm aware of that he was fired and the NC State move was the coach trying to save his own arse. How do you count him leaving Pitt as a negative? Or northern Illinois to go to Wisconsin?

Eight schools?

Indiana
Northern Illinois
Wisconsin
NC State
Pitt
Lsu

I count 6.

So to be clear, you're generally not in favor of trying to develop consistency/chemistry in an offense? It has to be great day one or it's garbage?

If Canada stayed, Aranda probably was going to leave.

Some of y'all really have heads in the sand in a rush to blame the HC.

I don't see anyone saying Canada is god's gift to offense. But he's got a solid track record and I think the offense did pretty well this year considering he was in his 1st year implementing a brand new system, and he was working with a banged-up OL, banged up star RB, a physically limited QB and and a meddling HC. I personally would have liked to see what he could do in year 2 with a consistent OL and QBs with more physical tools than Etling. Oh well. Either way, to say he "sucked" is just being disingenuous. If O "deserves a chance" then Canada based on the offense this year CERTAINLY deserved a chance.

If you were hired to a job for your expertise and then not allowed to use said expertise, would you really try that hard? And for the love of God,

Except that his expertise was not all that . Canada was the best of what was left at the time. His one great claim to fame was beating Clemson last year.

Let's look at his performance and see if there was not cause for concern by the HC and many on this board. His offense put up only 28 against a very bad BYU defense....against Chattanooga, it did OK but we should have squashed tat team by halftime. Then came MSU, as I could see, Canada was allowed to run his offense in that game with no interference and guess what......it sucked, we sucked....we sucked on both sides of the ball but the offense could not move for shite.....

Then came the Syracuse game, OK Syracuse beat Clemson this year but other than that they sucked, two big pass plays make the difference, the first TD was a gift to the offense from Greedy Williams,

Offensively we should have dominated Syracuse, pulverized them.....we were lucky to get out of that game with a 10 pt win IMHO

Now we go to Troy. We screwed that game from the very beginning and it had absolutely nothing to do with Orgeron. First play from scrimmage, hand off to Brosette up the middle through a huge hole. He gains 5 yards before the Troy player hits him dead on and the ball pops out......you can't blame Orgeron for that, also you gonna blame O's interferance with the fact that Brennan was largely ineffective, throws an int to covered receivers? ......also in that game, the defense was getting pushed around BIG time. That dude Chunn gashed us for 190 yards.

O cut dead weight. Its pretty simple. Now Canada can go post up some bogus stats in a bogus league and get his agent to trick another university to pay top dollar for poor performance. Glad he is no longer dragging LSU down like so many of you terribly pathetic posters that have consistently made this website a joke.

Bet you were pumping canada up when O chose him last year.
