Can all the Jimbo-stans finally agree he would be a bad choice?

He would be reasonable at 5/$30M but is completely insane at 8/$96M.

Please tell me what he's shown since 2014 that makes you trust him to make LSU elite.

Please tell me what he's shown since 2014 to reset the CFB HC market again.

Please tell me what he's shown since 2014 to make you think giving him a lifetime contract is an intelligent decision.

The idea that we’re going to hire the sitting HC at Texas A&M or Oklahoma is nuts to me, just as the sitting HC at LSU being hired away to any other college program would be nuts.

It’s not going to happen.

I think it's theoretically possible from OU, especially with the SEC move. They're kind of like a king of a minor city state being incorporated into the Roman empire. Yeah they're still considered nobility, but they're going to realize how far down the pole they are in the larger picture.

But TAMU will go all in to retain Jimbo and they have money/resources that neither OU nor LSU could dream of.

Nope, they're all going to lay low until things calm down, then maybe Wednesday or Thursday, for no reason, the board will be blown up with Jimbo threads again.

The best pro of Jimbo is his likely has an extremely high floor. He’s the safest.

Not my choice, but that’s the appeal for many people

That is pure coward logic.

There is a reason everyone is calling Jimbo Les vol. 2, because the LITERAL SAME arguments were used to keep Les

I never understood why A&M gave him a giant long term contract when he left Florida State a 5-6 dumpster fire.

For what it would take for LSU to hire Jimbo away from that contract at A&M, it would be the equivalent of paying $75k OVER Blue Book value for your neighbor’s 2015 S-Class Mercedes with 80k miles just so you could say you own a Mercedes

Miles had a very high floor, too and he was also an elite recruiter. Would you recommend giving him a ~ 10/$110M contract?

No? Then why the frick are we acting like that's a good idea for Jimbo?

I find it weird Kellen Mond was his QB for four straight years. I understand his overall numbers were fine, but I just expected better from Jimbo.

Haynes King was a 5 star, but he kind of fell off his Senior season is high school. And it doesn't make any sense to me that he is in a worse QB position than even LSU right now. And we had all sorts of crap happen.

Hiring Jimbo after last night's debacle in Oxford would be insane..........at any bargain basement price......which means he will probably be the next head coach.

God I hope Scott doesn’t agree with them

I feel like LSU is at a generational turning point. Do we launch a dynasty or descend into mediocrity. The Jimbo hire feels like it would be a scared acceptance of decline. The whole landscape of CFB is rapidly changing with NIL, the SECs expansion, and the "culture" issues. We need a younger coach that is going to be infinitely adaptable in the next few years. I just don't see Jimbo as being that guy. Give me a Riley or Aranda or someone in their mold.

You need to repent your sins and admit Jimbo would be a terrible hire, especially if we give him a lifetime contract
