I think we all want Bk to call Ed and ask him the best way to find the Joe Brady offense

freeze is a great coach. He's not top tier in this search

Go steal someone on Saints staff. Technically we already have guys here who can run it. Keep them? I doubt BK would keep Peetz as OC. He's not dumb enough to do that. He'd want someone to excite the fanbase and also from a strategic point, he needs someone to run his baby on top of recruiting being too important. Peetz doesn't do any of this. He'd be an overpriced lame duck. Maybe an analyst role for him about it.

So long as he doesn't have to recruit we're good

Freeze was better than every coach attached to the LSU job including Riley. Had he not got fired he probably would've consistently had Ole Miss at the top with Bama in the west. He was an excellent coach that did a great job rebuilding that program.

Didn’t he just snag two former 5 stars in the portal last year?

Agree on Lebby but disagree on OM matching our best offer.

There’s an offer in negotiation right now for Kiffin at $8 mil and Lebby at $2 mil. If you want to pay more than that for an OC then go ahead

We have a politics board. Please take your salty irrational beliefs over there. You’re probably one of the same people crying that Tate was going to make SW hire Mel Tucker. Move on! LSU football is not governed by politics.

I'm not really sure about that. They're an SEC rival and they share money just as we do. Been seeing some crazy money thrown around in these searches and they're not even SEC teams. Ole Miss isn't exactly poor simply because they're in SEC. I'd imagine they value Lebby enough to not let him go to an SEC West rival. That said, might not be enough even if they do match because maybe he'd want to get out form under Kiffin. A Lebby hire may signify BK is more willing to open his philosophy up though which is what we want. I wouldn't mind this hire at all. Would be homerun, imo.
You do have to consider a special factor with Lebby... and that's Kiffin's ego. That's Kiffin's offense and if LSU or anybody else came calling he just might think to hell with that, I'll show them that it's me and me alone.

OU may make a run at Lebby so could get into a bidding war.

Briles - meh ...
Herman - maybe, tough with the history here
Lebby - okay
Mullen - would be a huge hire, but we'd all hate ourselves for it

Kevin Wilson was mentioned in the thread. He'd be a good one.

You realize that democrat administration just hired Brian Kelly right?

Also, do you think the OP was suggesting Art Briles?

BK is going to open this offense up with the skilled position players he’s now able to recruit. He was unable to do that at ND and had to play to his roster strengths which I’m sure was frustrating. Since BK is new I’m assuming Woodward will help out with these hires so I’m expecting another splash…especially bc we saved $3M/yr from Riley to BK. Wouldn’t surprise me if OC and/or DC was highest paid assistant in the country.

From Huey to JBE, LA governors have always interfered with LSU football.
