Get rid of Mullen and yep. Recruits a certain type of QB and ruins pocket passers. Chances we can recruit a Dak Prescott every year are slim. Look at FL's QB room rn.

3 of those have zero shot at being OC here. Mullen should probably go to NFL, Herman would get his head rammed through the stadium wall with BK, and Briles has zero shot with a democrat administration. Only realistic option there is Lebby and I'd imagine Miss would match anything we offer. He'd have to want to leave which I think he might.

Can we put this shite to rest now? Tate let Woodward hire the best candidate who happened to be white and had some baggage.

Y'all considered Trask a pocket passer? He reminded me a lot of Dak. Big kid with some arm talent but who could also be a downhill battering ram.

This might be an uneducated opinion, but Mullen's offense is way too traditional dual threat than I'd want.

Also, his recruiting is a huge red flag to me.

I think yall will be disappointed if you are expecting a flashy OC named hire. The offense will be Kelly’s baby that someone else helps him run

No. If politics didn't play into searches they would've called coaches like CUM up. You think this admin wants anything to do with Briles and his baggage in the past? Where was the Freeze call who was probably better than almost every name floated out there for HC?

Agree on Lebby but disagree on OM matching our best offer.

This is what I feared when we hired him. I could see him getting a young up and comer coach for recruiting and to learn on the job. Not really what we need. We need BK to open it up.

I agree. But it’s not like he’s incapable of that. He ran an uptempo spread at Cincy. I’m kind of hoping he wants to move back in that direction with better skill talent at his disposal here.

I'm not really sure about that. They're an SEC rival and they share money just as we do. Been seeing some crazy money thrown around in these searches and they're not even SEC teams. Ole Miss isn't exactly poor simply because they're in SEC. I'd imagine they value Lebby enough to not let him go to an SEC West rival. That said, might not be enough even if they do match because maybe he'd want to get out form under Kiffin. A Lebby hire may signify BK is more willing to open his philosophy up though which is what we want. I wouldn't mind this hire at all. Would be homerun, imo.

let's stop this. Kelly is an old white guy with some issues in his past.

Perhaps tate isn't trying to put his fingerprints on the football program

He didn't have lead feet, and every now and then Dan would call a designed run...But he was in no way a "dual threat" QB, he was recruited to run the shark romancer's offense.
