Brian Kelly understands what he is getting himself into and wants it

Sure, that’s not a guarantee of great success. But he’s well aware of the pressure that’s going to come with this job. He saw what happened to the last two coaches and knows so-so isn’t going to he good enough. Hell, a championship isn’t always good enough.
But this isn’t some young, cheery up and coming coach that doesn’t understand what he’s getting
Himself into.
Lincoln Riley was (maybe) presented with the same opportunity and dude ran away for an easier job. Brian Kelly said, aw hell yea let’s do this.
I’ll admit. I have never been the biggest fan of BK but that’s really from association with ND. Can’t stand them at all so be default I didn’t like their coach or players. And I didn’t follow them too much. But him just accepting this offer speaks volumes about what he wants to do and what he believes he is going to be able to do.
But this isn’t some young, cheery up and coming coach that doesn’t understand what he’s getting

I would put money he would live in Mandeville if he came to coach LSU. Why would anyone want to live in Baton Rouge? I'd take the hour commute and buy a condo with that kinda money.

Yea USC being in the middle of the getto will be great for the family to grow up around. LA is a true shite hole homeless everywhere and shitting on the side walks. Plus the drive by shooting’s and the gangs are out of control. Drug users are rampant and the crime is horrible.

That's not quite accurate.
Because Notre Dame is private, his actual salary was hard to determine.
But per the ND Rivals site, he was making around $7 million per year:

The $15 million number being floated around hasn't been confirmed. I'm going with the $100 million-ish, 10 year number for now. Even if we assume he's getting Lincoln Riley money (which LSU is certainly in that ballpark), that still double (being generous) what ND was paying him.
Sure, it's a big leap. But if ND was really paying him 5 times less than what LSU is offering he would have bolted long before LSU came calling. That's just common sense.
