Brian Kelly is a much better Coach than Lincoln Riley, but he’s not a sexy name.

We’re not hiring your best friend. You don’t have to like his personality. We’re hiring a proven coach who has won everywhere he’s been. He’s not the flavor of the month, but he’s a very solid hire.

Funny how everyone who hates on ND and their “cupcake schedule” is now backtracking and saying that it isn’t such an easy schedule they play after all.

He is a huge name, but not a sexy name. That sentence feels weird.

LSU is in good hands with Kelly. Can’t believe Woodward got him to leave ND.

If youre unhappy about this hire its because of his age. Cant really think of any other reason. He checks all the boxes

How can you say this?

Riley is much younger and already been to 3 playoffs.

I literally said zero about Notre Dame’s schedule.

It makes no fricking sense. People will talk themselves into anything.

They have not played anybody worth a damn. It's how he is a winner. The one good team he played he lost. Should have lost to for FSU as well. Nice recent win over 3 win Stanford though.

This doesn't get me excited at all. I was hoping for a younger coach that could be here 15-20 yrs and create a dynasty like Saban has done.
I guess we will get a good 5-8 yrs out of Kelly.

The last coach LSU hired was fricking horrible record wise. And still managed to win an NC. I like a “solid” coach’s chances to do the same.
