I'd imagine he would also interview for the LSU job. The he wouldn't leave his Alma mater guys might be wrong

people vastly over rate this alma mater thing unless its a top program or unless its a special case like Brohm at Lousiville where you are legacy.
Key would jump at LSU or Penn State if offered.

Agreed. These guys are mercenaries, not fans.

Somehow my eyes read Brent Key but my brain saw Brian Kelly.

I would like for this guy to get serious consideration here. He could bring the edge back to the program that’s been lacking for years.

This is a bullshite rumor started by some joke twitter account. No way would Key interview for a job mid-season, and no way would he go take a job in yankee country

I often go into a dive bar late in the afternoon if I am having a particularly shitty day. Have a few drinks and when I leave I realize my station in life is not nearly as bad as those fricksticks I just left.
This is how I feel about Penn State interviewing Kelly,

If a coach were going to do such a thing, during a bye week before playing one of the worst power 4 teams in football would be the time to do it

Key isn't leaving Tech unless the school and/or the school President does a 180 and decides to reverse course on the current multi-year buildup and investment into the football program. What Key IS going to do is leverage any interest in himself to gain additional financial support to further elevate the football program (NIL, staff etc...)
His goal is to compete at the highest level and bring Tech back to the consistent level of winning we were at in the Dodd era. A tall task but the man has a vision. There are plenty of ultra wealthy alums that contribute a shite ton to the school but not really anything to athletics. That's the crowd that he and the school president are trying to tap into in an effort to truly elevate the program. I hope he can make it all happen. We'll see.

Is he willing to bet generational wealth for his family on it? Because that’s what will be at stake.

If Brent Key is movable, you absolutely make a call.

Everybody's loyal, until they're not.

If we don't get Sabiffin, and someone like PSU comes in and gets Key while we lure Sumrall, I'm gonna hurl.

I was feeling similar earlier but there's still three better choices on the board.
