No he’s not. It’s all for show, to make NFL teams pursue him harder. His goal is to be a head coach of an NFL team. A team may be interested in him, and may be hesitant to hire him right now, but if rumors start coming out that he’s interested in LSU, that team will pursue him so they don’t lose out on an opportunity to hire him.

started wondering (maybe foolishly) that the "he hates to recruit" narrative was more probably more of "he hates recruiting under Orgeron".

He has been quoted saying he hated recruiting. He is a guy that wants to work with the best and would rather be in an office drawing up plays. He doesn’t want to travel and play tge games that recruiting requires.

In talking to Brady I have picked up a different tone as of late :.. he seems more open to the idea of being in high school players homes and eating fried chicken with the families …

Dude has no clue how to be a head coach. Would be very disappointing if that's who they hire.

Would be a huge gamble, hes never run his own program.

Agreed, so let’s bring in Matt Rhule for HC and get Brady to come with him as OC. Rhule has the experience Brady is lacking and the two work well together.

It would be a great gamble. He can keep Peetz and Mangus on staff to keep continuity.

I can guarantee-damn-tee you Brady would NOT keep Peetz on staff as OC if he took the job! No way!

Brady agent is using this to get him a Pro gig ....nothing else. Brady already said himself he don't want to be a college coach

Even if this is true you'd be in a Saban early 2000s situation where you'd know the first NFL call he'd be gone. I don't think he's done enough to warrant a shot anyways.

It's going to be Napier, which is actually very disappointing and lackluster. Outside of his few years at ULL he's about average as a coach.

Can’t blame him. He can make more money coaching LSU than he can coaching an NFL team.

Even if he does, how can we afford to wait until after the early recruiting period opening to even have a shot to talk to him? If it didn’t happen, we would be fricked, with some other attractive candidates already off the market.

Brady wouldn’t burn his bridge back to the NFL if he was legitimately interested, and we can’t wait for him to be done with his season. This is a non-starter unless several people tell us no and the search devolves into a total shite show. I don’t think that happens on Woodward’s watch.

Has he, though? I never saw that quote. Certainly most assumed he didn’t like to recruit when he bailed for the pros. But don’t make up quotes. I’ll happily eat crow if you can link it.
