Yes, it might. That's part of it. We dealt with it after Saban left and we came out just fine. We hired a head coach who is a proven winner who has been here 2 weeks and instead of disregarding the commits that were on board, he and the staff chose to focus on them and if you look at the top 10 in LA on 247, we expected to sign 5 tomorrow, possibly 6 (Law) and we have a good chance to land Matthews and Citizen which means in a transition year with a new coach coming in late we could potentially get 8 of the top 10 in LA assuming we miss Preston and Moss.

With NIL and the transfer portal turnstile, the game has changed and not for the better. At least not for the fans. I have enjoyed college football so much for nearly 50 years precisely because it wasn’t the NFL. I may follow it casually from here on out but certainly not with the same passion for it that I used to have.

Yea, that’s exactly what it means. When you completely clean house that also means you lose all of those relationships those other coaches made during their tenure. Look at all of the other schools with head coaching changes. They aren’t exactly setting the world on fire right now.
Also there are very few people that know the details of why White didn’t get the job. Could have been BK changed his mind, maybe it was a mutual decision, maybe White was just looking for a raise. No point in getting the blood pressure up over it
Still plenty of good coaches out there and BK has not whiffed often on assistants.

You have to remember that 3/4 of the morons on this board form their opinion based on speed of hire and whether they get flamed on the sec rant or not.
