No, Sark was probably brought in to take over to Kiffin. Assuming you need to decide which to keep, it is obvious Saban feels more comfortable with Sark, for one reason or another.
That is not "getting canned", that is finishing out your contractual obligations.

Most of the tards saying Lane isn't coming are folks who don't know what they're talking about. It's been done. The fact that bama is in save face mode tells you all you need to know. It's great tho to see their insecure fans bombarding these threads telling us horrible Kiffin is lol.

So Lane won't even interview for the Houston job?
He's coming to LSU no matter what?
I will believe this when and if it's official.

Do we need to revisit the threads making fun of Alabama hiring Kiffin in the first place? Both of our fan bases can be called hypocritical in this scenario.

He's not getting serious looks from any power 5 school and that's what his reported interest would be if not LSU
Posted on 12/1/16 at 11:19 am to Stephen1979
How do you now he wouldn't entertain a non P5 offer?
ETA reported where?

I still find it hard to work out all of the Kiffin to LSU rumors. Why? For money? OK, but if Alabama valued him they could match.

Bama has apparently moved on from Kiffin.
Whether they plan to plug Sark in or go a different route who knows?
So I think Kiffin is leaving Bama one way or another.
Just strikes me as strange that people would be SURE he's taking an OC gig at LSU vs HC job at a place like UH.

No way he doesn't Coach the Playoff. That could definitely hurt their chances.

LSU should go after Sark. He may be a better coordinator anyway. Saban knew what he was doing bringing in Sarkisian. He may have decided to get rid of Kiffen for some reason back when he brought in Sark. I think if somehow LSU got him that would really chap Saban's hide. I also remember a story that said Saban hired Sark to keep LSU from getting him.

This is a strange thing. He hasn't been there that long and he has done a decent jobs with QB development. I know the play-calling is up and down but... it feels like the reason why they are moving on is not out in the open and is relevant.

:kige: He might not be able to get a P5 HC gig but a Houston type job would be a better financial deal and could translate into another major job if he did a good job this time.

This notion that Sark is primed and ready to replace Kiffin on a moments notice seems ridiculous to me. My understanding is Sark is currently in treatment and is currently employed as support staff. Seems like throwing Sark into the OC position during the playoffs would be a major strain on his recovery and seems highly unlikely. Seems more likely he would reunite with his buddies and maintain focus on his recovery.

Has anyone discussed what a punchable face Kiffin has?
If he becomes LSUs OC, I'm concerned for my new LED TV.

He was becoming a head coach....it's worse that way. Your DC can't talk to recruits at all basically because he HAS to recruits them at New job

I think the tard is the one posting here. The only people if any that are saving face may be the UA fans that posts on this board. To assume them saving face represents the official position of the university and you take that as a fact Kiffin is coming you may need to take another hit before your afternoon nap.

Houston can only go down. Its not the ideal spot for a HC to be in. Come to LSU and turn this laughing stock Miles offense into a scoring machine and profit..

Yeah, that's the way to recover. Reunite with the one's that were all around you when you fall. I think, much like Kiffin, Saban keeps the pressure off of his coordinators by keeping them with strict guidelines. The best place Sark can be.
