Seen some poo poo hiring a g5 coach but when you look at his resume, his recruiting ability, and listen to how he has built that program and thinks about the game and the role of a head coach he’d be a very very strong candidate.

Well, let's look at LSU's record when it comes to hiring from G5:

Curley Hallman

Now, let's look at LSU's record when hiring from the Power 5:

Saban
Miles

Why are we rolling the dice when we don't have to?

There’s literally been 100 different threads for this guy. I don’t think you know how that phrase works

If he was not at ULL he’d be WAY more accepted on this board.

Double yawn.
This year in games vs Nichols, GA southern, and S alabama, they won by a total of 13 points.
I watched most of the App state game. Not impressed.

And they have at least 2 of these goofy "turnover chain" things going on...One is some special set of shoulder pads, and another is actually a cane of some kind that an assistant coach carries around, and when someone scores a touchdown, then go to the sidelines and dance with the freaking cane!
I was embarrassed for them it was so awful. Don't want any of that shite in Baton Rouge.

I'll take the one without the shitty track record.

Tucker shouldn't even be a candidate.

He is not worth the risk after a big buy out.

LSU needs a proven coach from a power five conference.

You're not gonna get an objective or unbiased response out of most of the crowd here simply because of where he coaches, they think they're above hiring a great coach from a lower tier in-state program.

But mention Chadwell and you won't get nearly the vitriol back, it's 100% about Napier coaching at UL

If he was not at ULL, we wouldn't be discussing him at all. And I like Napier.

Have you seen many Jamey Chadwell or Brent Brennan threads on here?

Do you remember the last search with Fleck? This board was all over him. And he did not have the Saban connection and hadn’t turned down jobs like Auburn.

If this guy is somewhere else there would be a huge push. Once you get past the top dogs, he’s a viable candidate period.

He should be in the top 4/5 I’ll give u that…u def reach out to him and kick the tires, but he riley shouldn’t be much more than a courtesy interview and a fallback guy IMO.
