Billy has not been very happy at LSU according to his wife who's good friends with my relatives in BR. He designs plays that do not get called. I wouldn't be surprised if he left because he's ambitious and wants to be a HC. I think he took this job believing he was heir apparent to Crowton. But he has a taste of what he's in for if he stays.

Cro usually. They run plays in practice but they don't make it to the game plan. That was his beef.

I think things got a little better when they actually began throwing down field more late in the season. But the last I talked to them it was around mid-season when most everyone was frustrated.

gary calls the plays with tons of interference from miles...as long as you get the w's, no matter how lucky & ugly they are, that's all that matters.

i really think that our luck will change soon.

fix what?

the repetitive game clock management issues?
the repetitive play clock management issues?
the incessant "stupid" penalties (i.e. snap count, delay of game, etc.)?
the continual tendency to pull back on the aggressiveness of the offensive and defensive game plan in bigger SEC games, especially on the road?
the every year fall off in November due to overworking the players in practice?
the continuing player development issues?
or just the general overall embarassment brought to the institution and the program as a result of, for example, any or all of the above, eating grass, and/or stumbling bumbling quotations?

I agree that our luck will change, but they certainly need to work on their communication issues. Maybe instead of a passing game coordinator they need couples' therapy.

My problem with Crowton is the lateral passing game that he uses to compensate for the QB weakness. It works may 55 percent of the time, but it's frustrating to watch. I'd rather have a traditional power-I game with a good vertical passer. We may have it now but I worry that Crowton and Miles may again manage to outsmart themselves and make this kid do stuff he's not comfortable with.

Whenever you have an OC refered to as a "wizard" and whatnot it means you're trying to run tricky plays to overcome personnel weaknesses on the line. We're LSU. We shouldn't have those weaknesses in O-Line and QB play.

Teacher: Bueller? Bueller? Bueller?

Simone: Um, he's sick. My best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who's going with the girl who saw Ferris pass out at 31 Flavors last night.

shite...maybe our receivers will actually start catching some passes now.

I'm sure BG was influencing the receivers to drop as many balls as possible

YEah, it shows he knew to GTFO of that place. I said it way back then when he made a lateral move to come here. Either he was promised a higher job this year, or he knew UM was leaving and his time was limited.

Tyke Tolbert time!

Let's see, wasn't Tolbert released from Buffalo after last season? (Basically, that means fired) Yeah, let's take yet another coach that wasn't quite good enough to keep his job, a la Haley.

Bet he's a "Great Recruiter" though.

Gonzales was a "Reject" as well. He was passed over for UF OC by Meyer. (Maybe for a reason) BG sure hasn't done jack for the WR's and "Passing Game", but we all know he probably doesn't have any say so at all in regards to the offense. Hasn't done anything to improve LSU's WR production though. Still way too many drops.

Miles loves those rejects. Just once, I'd like to see him go out and pluck a really good assistant from a Top Ten teams staff and not one that's been "Asked to Leave", is from the staff of a head coach that took another job and wasn't asked to join that coach at the new school or isn't asked to join the staff of the new coach at his present school...........

are you really trying to discredit tolbert's college coaching ability by pointing out he was fired from a job in the NFL?

Now it makes sense our offense struggles. They need a change at WR and OL coach.
