Considering OK had not even 1 blue county in the 2020 election, that puts it light years better than LA.

I’ve never had to “pull up fo’ me baby, it’s gonna be 10 minutes on da spicy” at a Popeyes in Oklahoma.

Make of that what you will.

The retards in here think Louisiana’s “sportsman’s paradise” is a selling point for a coach with a bunch of anime action figures in his office.

Btw Oklahoma has some damn fine hunting.

the culture isn't that different between the two.

both are shitty. louisiana is just a fatter, drunker version of oklahoma.

louisiana has lotsa culcha, not to be confused with having a good culture.

And you never had any gumbo, red beans or po boys worth a shite either in Oklahoma.

The culture, food and access to water in Louisiana sets it apart.

The culture

Is not the selling point people think it is. Pasty white mid westerners experience a pretty serious culcha shock when they get to Louisiana.

Passive aggressive people and atrocious infrastructure make actually living in Louisiana a pain in the arse.

My fiancee's dad lives in Oklahoma in a city roughly the size of Natchitoches. Just depends on what you look for in a place to stay, when I've visited I've really enjoyed my stay. I like the Ozark weather, roads and city is well kept. Weed dispensaries everywhere Cost of living is low and quiet.

Oklahoma has beautiful country and the people are good conservative folks. 180” deer. The weather is scary tho and the winters can be brutal

If you think West Virginia sucks, you've never been there. The state s beautiful and if you're the outdoors type, it rivals just about anywhere. The people are some of the nicest you'll meet as well. Not to mention, WVU is a damn good school as well.

Eh. Louisiana has far better fishing and hunting if you are in to that. Oklahoma has NOTHING that compares to New Orleans. The food is far better in Louisiana (try getting good seafood in Oklahoma. Good luck).

Oklahoma does have some beautiful countryside though. It’s far from a terrible place to live.

Bottom line, it just depends on your taste and hobbies.

Define better. If we're talking things like education, politics, cost of living, taxes, crime, etc. Oklahoma and it's not even close. Almost anyone would be better than Louisiana in livability. If you're talking other things like culture, people, etc. then LA. Otherwise, most of Louisiana is a third-world country.

Lived in both areas. Familiar with Norman and Baton Rouge

Norman is a better town in terms of the local government. EBR is a shite hole for the most part. Weather is surprisingly better in Norman. I feel like BR just felt extremely hot or there was a monsoon every day. There’s actual seasons Oklahoma.

I really wouldn’t fault anyone for saying one is better than the other. They’re so different it just depends on what your preference is: big city or a true college town

Most areas in Louisiana are third-world. People who don't want to admit that have never been anywhere outside LA. It's even operated like a third-world with the shite politics and even worse corrupt leaders. Moving out of there is the best decision anyone can make. People take advantage of the beauty in LA and it's such a dirty state in many areas. A product of the poverty stricken areas that have overtaken the state. Everything moves backwards never forward. The story of Louisiana.

Let's be honest, most likely the next hire won't be here in 6-7 years anyway. That's just the nature of the business. LSU has had 3 coaches in the entire history of the program that stayed 10+ years.

I've been to Oklahoma on several occasions and I'm not a big fan. OKC can be cool, Tulsa is boring as hell. I don't think there's much else to the state really.

Also, the panhandle is a whole lot of nothing except slaughterhouses and paper mills, not a great scent going on over there.

Louisiana may have the worst good ole boy system in the union, but South LA has a lot more stuff to do than Oklahoma
