I'm not saying what's going to happen and whats not however I do know this, Miles would be an EXTREMELY popular hire with the fanbase and make Brandon look good in fans eyes and lessen the blow of not getting JH. Half of the sports writers are lauding him as a man of integrity for not leaving last time and claiming a man of this caliber is what Michigan needs..

None of this means anything but anyone who thinks that Miles is not the "fans choice" after Harbaugh is crazy.

Direct quote from Dave Brandon " I see being the AD like Sam Walton saw Wal-Mart....give the customer what they want"

All of this is strictly FWIW

Alleva needs to read that book.

If his only hire at Duke went 6-45, he should just let the fans vote.

Nice quote from Brandon except he was involved in Les not being hired in 07. He may be overruled.

I know a lot of Michigan fans and I don't know any that would be excited to see Miles become the next coach at Michigan. Then again, there are only 3 names being mentioned and people seem to dislike Hoke more than Miles.

This may very well be part of it, but I think another issue would be after Hoke and Miles where the hell to turn? I think Brandon makes an all out effort for Miles under the guise of "giving fans what they want" more to to save face than anything. This has the potential to make him look real bad as he put all of his eggs in the JH basket, let RR twist in the wind and destroyed a recruiting class over this....you can guarantee he will be a man ready to do about anything..

I personally think that if Miles were seriously going to leave for Michigan Chavis would've gone to Texas.Leads me to believe that Miles has told the staff that he's not leaving.Every big LSu person i've talked to says that Miles told Michigan a while ago that he wasn't interested.I'll trust them until otherwise.

Either that or he is telling GC and JC to go with him to Michigan after the bowl game.

well shitty fans may get what they've been wanting for a long time now. A truly mediocre LSU team.

Come on Les there a plenty of us who still support you.

Chavis isn't going north. He's a southern guy and has too many options in the south to go to Michigan.Seriously would you go to Michigan over Texas? No one would unless they have ties to Michgan.Miles would get fired if he took Crowton to Michigan with him.Quickest hire/fire in history.

You may be right but for what the Michigan writers are saying the JH deal didnt fall apart until Sunday night. Again not saying Miles entertains it or maybe he does but the morons that were still posting that Michigan has no interest after Harbaugh turned it down are simply fooling themselves..

Friends in the Detroit area say that the average Wolverine fan on the street goes about 50/50 JH vs LM. They say a lot of the high school coaches in Michigan are fond of Les from his days there and the average HS footballer up there has an instant recognition of Miles as well as Harbaugh as for as recruiting goes. Bottom-line, you appear to be right in that there is some interest of Michiganders regarding LM.

Yes...this was a fondness until the news JH isnt coming...I predict you are going to see this interest whip itself into a full fledge fury in the next couple of days.

All you will need to tell you will be the number or photo shopped pics showing Miles in his Michigan hat that begin popping up like wild fire.

ESPN will be hounding Miles on Saturday night like they did Harbaugh last night. before the game, during the game, after the game, in the restroom stall, etc... It will be much more entertaining to see how miles deflects the questions using about 10,000 more words than JH used.

Don't be surprised to see a press conference in Ann Arbor on Saturday with LSU implications...take it for what it is worth.
