It’s how it was stated more than what was said. Baker doesn’t “want out” of LSU, he just wants to be a head coach like most coordinators. Op is acting like Baker hates LSU when that’s just not true at all.

Maybe he interviewed with Tulane and Memphis because he wants to advance his professional career to a HC position, not because he "wants OUT of LSU".

I also would like a promotion and will have to leave my current employer to get one. Doesn't mean i'm eager to leave my current employer, even though I have a new boss. Just means that the only method I have to get a promotion is to do it outside of my current employer.

Why do y'all always react to coaches wanting to move on to HC positions like they're only doing it because they hate LSU. Maybe he loves LSU, but wants to keep moving up in his career? Just maybe.....

You're an idiot too. Wanting a HC gig that pays 3X what he is currently making doesn't mean he "wants out" of LSU. It means he wants to move up in the business. You think Baker would have turned down the LSU head coaching job if it was offered because he wants out of LSU?
