How does everyone feel about Austin coming back as GM to be O's right hand man?

He isn't taking Sam's spot. He is coming back as GM. Essentially O's right hand man.

I’m sure we gave him an extremely high buyout and are already asking TAF for donations for it

I remember the melt when this guy left the first time. Based on his history you can likely expect him to stick around for 2 years and then bolt for something new.

I like having another voice there to help O with things.

he's proven he has no real value unless we hire a coach on medicare who allows us to get a recruiting waiver for Thomas

If our fortunes are in any meaningful way related to this cat, our coaching/staff issues are much bigger than I thought.

Well thats bullshite, that's like saying analyst have no value. Go look at recruiting rankings where he has been, usually a big jump when he arrives. A&m is an example.

So a bunch of big programs want him, but you are worried that we are hiring him?

I doubt it. With Woodward eyeballing the system president position I've got a feeling Thomas is being groomed for the AD position.
