They should kick the tires on Tony Elliott, but I doubt they do, may be too big of a job for someone who’s only been a coordinator.

i still dont know about napier or cristobal but campbell would be a homerun

He's my #1 but I doubt we can afford him. And he knows he's probably got the Michigan job next year (or an NFL look) if he wants it

Cristobal would be foolish to go to Auburn. There’s not a recruiter close to him in the PAC. He’s not going to recruit his way to the top at Auburn.

Cristobal will leave Oregon for the Miami job or the Bama job. He's not going to Auburn. But, Cristobal burned bridges at Miami because he left abruptly and he almost got into a fist fight with some Auburn coaches at a south Florida high school recruiting a player. Cristobal is all Cuban baw!

I don’t have a name, but my sources say Auburn will have a new HC by Thursday. Which IMO means they already have an agreement with their top target.

My guess would be Hugh Freeze or Scott Satterfield.

Bill Clark. I know I’m in the minority, and I know it won’t happen, but he has built and won everywhere he has been. He is hard nosed coach that knows the recruiting culture of the SEC. He is taking his team to their third straight conference championship game. That is pretty damn impressive to me considering the headwinds he has faced. Oh, and it’s UAB.....dude is playing for league championships at UAB. He is a winner and I like that.

I’m still surprised he hasn’t gotten a better group of five job. I can only imagine the revolt of buying out Gus to get uabs coach.

Probably, but it would be a misguided revolt.

Campbell is my top choice, but I would be fine with Clark.

What makes Auburn think they can do better than Gus?

Who wants to settle for mediocrity? Whether they can do better or not.
