What a coup that was to take ND's 11-1 head coach, right?

Woodward experimented the coup on a much easier target at a previous job. Very shrewd operative.

USC who's arguably not a Blue Blood anymore, robbed a BB OU in their coach

LSU who you could make argument for BB but many would say isn't a BB, robbed one of the most storied BB programs their coach out of nowhere

Strange times. Money talks.

Ain’t that right. My sister works in sales and one of her main accounts is w/ ND. She had a zoom meeting with them today and she said they were some salty dogs for sure

Amazing what you can get when you have no budget and don't care if you overspend.

Woodward, at both aTm and LSU, has proven that overspending is what he does best.

You are stupid. Have you even glanced at what LSU paid compared to others? We have actually got Kelly at a bargain. Overpaying is what Tucker or Franklin got. Riley might even be overpaid.

Woody paid market value unless you'd be happy with someone like Napier next time? He's a good bargain bin shopping coach. You understand that the market has been reset with the media contracts right? Apparently not.

honestly, yeah.

Dude has been good, consistent, has been around awhile at several places. Is of a certain age, and at a top job.

No reason to think he'd even be available.

Riley at Oklahoma- I could see the desire to move around some and build up his resume. Right now he's got one HC spot there, and it was good- but it was also a handoff from Bob Stoops. Could see him wanting to show he can do it at USC on his own, and then making a move to the NFL.

Kelly on the other hand, there was nothing to indicate that he wouldn't retire at Notre Dame.

LOL. Still salty I see.

We got the winningest coach in ND history and what, the 2nd winningest active coach in college football, for Mel Tucker money.

Salaries are resetting. Kelly will be underpaid within a few years.

Christ what a moron. You actually think he overspent for Kelley?

That contract is a steal. NOBODY gives a damn what you think a HC should earn. Adults care about market rate.
