Currently ESPN is having a contest over who can do the best Orgeron impression. I for one, am sick of LSU being laughed at for our HC.

I am. If we hire O, we will become the laughingstock of the SEC and probably the country when the inevitable decline comes. It took Miles fanboys awhile to realize that the rest of the country wasn't laughing with Miles, they were laughing at him and LSU.

Watch Herman during his in and post-game interviews and it's a breath of fresh air. We need someone like that representing our program.

Yes it would be nice to have someone the media has to respect wouldn't it

I remember their clock segment on gameday for the UF game in 2010.

Still though, I'd much rather have someone else for coach

I actually agree with you here and I feel like getting aggravated about this is ridiculous because it's a game and it's supposed to be fun. That being said, I'm ready to trade a coach that makes football fun for a miserable sob who is going to compete for the SEC again.

If Orgeron is hired, it will be time to change mascots in order to accurately reflect the Athletic Department:

I'll be honest, in the beginning I wanted Jimbo and if we couldn't get him give it to O. Now the Ra Ra stuff has worn out and it's Anybody but O.

We should leave the fan base's insecurities out of the hiring process.

I agree. Which would mean you hire the most qualified candidate. Which is not Orgeron by miles. No pun intended.

you are very insecure. first of all, NO ONE IS LAUGHING at LSU. it simply is not true. Coach O is one of a kind in college coaching and yes, he talks funny; it's not just a bayou accent as his voice is very gravelly. it's actually a compliment that they are trying to imitate him.

you are taking this shite way too seriously. they are having a little fun; no more, no less

Exactly the response I would expect from a "LSU grandad." You are prob just ecstatic that ESPN talks about LSU at all nowadays. Miles embarrassed LSU and Orgeron will continue to.

If we win a National Championship, I give a Rat sass, what they think about our coach, Saban wasn't a Genius until he arrived in Tuscaloosa, according to the media.

I don't care about people laughing at the program. I just don't think O is the best choice.

I don't care what others outside of the program think. Regardless, I don't want O for pure football reasons and the fact I have zero confidence he can maintain success long term. Short term most probably, long term NO. I thought hmmm maybe a few weeks ago. Now, after further thought...the worse I feel about the long term future if he was hired.

exactly. He is proving him self week end week out. Let the season play out. Coach O brings a lot of good things to the program.

All that being said, I think we would be stupid to not get in on Fleck early in his career. Get him and let him blow up into the elite coach that he will most definitly be at LSU instead of somewhere else.

Fleck>Herman>Orgeron(if LSU wins out)>Fedora>Fisher>>>Miles
