Are the Florida Gators going after Rhett Lashlee (Auburn offensive coordinator)?

Surely, Florida doesn't think they'll be able to hire him away from Auburn, where he holds the same position...where he was a graduate assistant...where he will be competing with SEC and National Championships...where he is under the guru he has learned everything he knows from...right?
At best, the move would be a downgrade for Rhett Lashlee. The only advantage he would hold would be calling all of his own plays.
I remember Gatormb89 mentioning his name a while back. What's the latest, Florida fans?

He would be back at Auburn after next year is over.

A downgrade? You serious?
Lashlee is a figurhead in Auburn,Gus is running that show.He has title in name only.At UF it would be his baby.
Now if you were a young coach wanting to pad your resume.Which would you choose?

Kirby Smart has made a good career being a figurehead DC under Saban

UF needs to hire an established college OC...not a first year guy. If Muschamp is smart and doesn't want to be fired that's what he'll do.

I just wanted to know his background. He's not a candidate. If UF wanted someone with minimal play calling experience they would probably target Spavital.

He'll come home to tFlagship if Bert flames out.

If nothing else he would get experience calling his own plays. If/when that entire staff gets canned at UF I would guess Gus would bring him back in a heartbeat. Still a big risk to leave for that situation and he would be smart to stay at AU. If a coach that's not on the hotseat calls (Say, if Clemson loses their Morris to a HC job) he might be better off in the long run to leave.

Haven't seen his name mentioned anywhere. I've never even heard of him. No thanks to Gus' lackey.
Where do you come up with this shiite?
