It's the short term, emotional thinking that has been the root cause of our program having largely underachieved for the first 105 years of our history.

Some of them are, yes. I've seen some people say they want O to get the job just so they can see the melt. No joke.

I think a lot of people feel O is being disrespected so that makes them like him even more.

They can like him just as much when he's losing 3-5 games per year.

I wish

How can he truly be what we want after Miles, another lovable non x and o coach that is constantly dependent upon both coordinator hires.. and still not sure we can develop a qb

OC hires are even more of a crapshoot

Brw Kiffin has had horrific play calling but it's still Bama so it's okay.. also no reason he leaves Bama for sale position

Can't believe wining these games as interim is such a selling point

LSU wins these games regardless

Agreed. That's just what I've noticed. I've tried to talk civilly to some of them on TR (and had moderate success). It just sounds like they want to continue to ride O and support what's already in place. Combine that with the fact that they love him, they care about his future, they think he understands LSU more than anyone else, they see no reason for a change. They want to give him a shot.

I do think some of them would consider a guy like Jimbo or Herman, but then they see O getting bashed on here and that makes them like O even more. That may not be the case with all of them, but I see that happening a lot.

It's basically the "backfire effect."

I thought maybe they're FSU or UT fans trying to steer us away from their coaches but many of them have been on this board for a while. Talk about the long con.

Except a few more losses if we kept moles.

Remember him? He's that guy who had a better winning percentage than ALL of our current coaching prospects. Perhaps we should just hire him back?

If you wanna get an idea of the intelligence level of the average sidewalk fan then go checkout the comments on Facebook to the LSU related articles - specifically about the coaching search.

I was reading the comments of a 247 article and it was a real eye opener. The people that want O are all cut from the same cloth. And they are screaming from the rooftops. The accent, one team one heartbeat, and that one signature road win against Arkansas is all it took.

Go see for yourself.

I really think most of the O fans on this board have some type of relation to O or these media members. I think they all convinced their friends and family to post on these message boards and Facebook to look like there is an overwhelming support for O.

I know there are a lot of uninformed fanboys around here, but to be this over the top for O, there has to be some type of ulterior motive for them.

They want to see the "glorious melt" here. Future of our program be damned.
