How bad has his stock fallen this year?

Locals are not happy giving up 30 in a W, but is it justified?

I think the biggest thing LSU fans need to realize is that with the wide open quick scoring offense, comes issues on defense.

Aranda hasn't changed. His philosophy is still the same that made you guys love him. We experienced it with the offensive transition from Nutt to Petrino. Offenses that don't take long to score, leave your defense on the field longer.

Just part of it. See Alabama now as well...I think you guys have a good coordinator and just need to understand LSU has now crossed the line over to an offensive powered team. Not a run first play defense team.

I trust in Aranda.

He’s a really good DC. Is he worth $2-3 million? Maybe, maybe not, but it’s not my money.

He’ll be a head coach soon IMO.

Average time of possession this year:

LSU: 30:01
OPP: 29:59

Number of plays per game:

2018
13 games, 915 plays = 70.4/gm
Opponents avg 4.1 yds/play

2019
10 games, 680 plays = 68.0/gm
Opponents avg 5.4 yds/play

Hey, No excuses but LSU will not play another team even in the playoffs with an option QB that runs a 4.2 forty. People have bitched about our safties but Delpit has been hurt since the Auburn game and hasn't been the same since. Be happy he's playing at all or playing through it.
I would expect Delpit to be close to 100% by the A&M game or by the SEC championship game just guessing.

Delpit has been in a slump most of the year, not just post Auburn.

LSU is getting robbed at 2.5m. I could care less if they give him extension n raise. Just stating that Aranda is overrated and overpaid. His defenses are nothing to be scared about

They've been above average. His scoring defense would have been top ten last year if not for the A&M game. Before this year, he's only given up 30 points 3 times in 3 years.

Not saying this defense is good, but the defense carried the offense for 3 years and is the reason why Orgeron is still here. Aranda deserves time to fix the defense.

You can go do that

2016 -#5 scoring defense
2017 -#14 scoring defense
2018 - -#26 but we were giving up 16.9 points a game before Fulton and Fehoko go down.

That was a top 10 defense 11 games into the season.

Realistically we just need better DL. If you wanna go fast you need to be able to get pressure.

Would not be one be surprised to see both parties separate and him go to Texas. But maybe not and I’m hoping not.

He’ll not be a head coach candidate till the return of the D in college football. Young offensive coaches will take precedent. Everybody says if LSU can do it then........LSU has ruining college football.
