I’d bet they are. 24/7 was late to the Canada news then tried to spin it. After Wilson left I imagine Shea’s sources are Ponamsky and those close to him. That’d explain why they’ve been last to know on a few major ones since Wilson left.

If he truly wants one more year and then onward & upward to a college HC or NFL DC position, he'd be stupid not to hitch his wagon to the talent we have coming back on D most of whom already know his system. You go for a rebuild job over that A&M defense and it'll take at least 2 more years.

Someone said on here earlier that Aranda was recently given the title Associate Head Coach at LSU....depending on his ultimate goals, following Jimbo to an unknown future in College Station my not be as enticing as staying..... wasnt a good move for The Cheif. We dont know the whole story and this entire thread could very well be a pile of horse shite anyway.

wouldn't surprise me at all. i'm sure that the aggies aren't stupid enough not to give him a budget for assistants so he's taking his time. also, there have to be some of his targets that realize the aggies history concerning DC's and the condition of their present roster. if these DC's are good they are going to want big money and it must be guaranteed to take on that challenge in the SEC west.
personally, I think it's going to be hard for him to find a top notch DC this year. of course, he can always find somebody and fire 'em next year.

I could believe the NFL rumors. Dave Aranda is beyond too smart of a man to know that it's either LSU or NFL. Texas ATM isn't going to help improve your DC resume or any resume at all. This rumor is terrible

Not sure why it would be a surprise to anyone if Aranda leaves. Rumors been all over the internet for 2 weeks and we all knew his phone would ring off the hook. Sucks if it happens.

I don’t think Aranda leaves but you are wrong about going to a bad defensive team like A&M and making them better will not help his resume.

Somebody on 247 said that while tigerbait lawyers info is legit he believes it's running about a week behind LSU was already addressed this issue and Aranda is going to stay.

I gotta be honest. If this happens and Aranda bolts to aTm, if Joe doesn’t arrive to work the next day to find his stuff in his office already packed up, I might be done with LSU sports for a little while.
