Sometimes the biggest fish taste like shite when you cook it. It’s about finding the right fish

Just don’t understand the Napier-bots logic. Getting a power 5 team to multiple playoffs, 2 Heisman trophy winners < Having ULL ranked in the top 25. Not even comparable and makes ZERO sense.

No. And it’s not about a “big” name.

It’s about hiring someone with relevant experience. There is a difference between the Sun Belt and the SECW.

Napier has university of Louisiana at Lafayette in the top 25

Rankings aren’t always the best indicator. How many teams in the Top 25 could they actually beat is a better way to think of it. Even looking outside the top 25…. They got handled by Texas and would lose to multiple teams not currently ranked. Anyone that thinks ULL is actually one of the top 25 teams in the country is crazy. He’s doing good things there no doubt, but there are a lot of teams that get in the AP poll.

I think someone like Aranda or Napier would do wonders here. Sure there are bigger fish out there, but will they stay around? The NFL eyes Riley every year and Jimbo is just old and too much of a Les Mile, set one his way kind of coach.

I want someone young, that can stay here for a decade and bring new ideas and isn’t afraid of change. Someone that can make their legacy part of LSU. Not someone that’ll use LSU as a stepping stone to their next job in 4-5 years.
