He's done a good job this season, but it's only gonna get harder with the sanctions including no bowls.

I think that depends how motivated he is. He will get paid without producing 9+ wins. He is sitting on a nice payday and has the sanctions as an excuse, JMO

Imo he has little pressure. I think he will eventually leave.

All things considered I think he has done a great job. If he remains competitive (which is certainly doable in the BIG 10) he will get planty of looks from others but don't forget that PSU, off of sanctions, can be a premier program.

Not a chance. No team could afford to pay him what it would cost him to leave Penn State.

He's done a great job in my opinion

He's done a great job but it's going to get real ugly soon with the recruiting sanctions. I could see him leaving, he'd be a great fit at Tennesee IMO.

Right now if you gave O'Brien a $40 million contract he would break even.
Penn State signed him thur 2020. 8 years @ $2.5 million, with no out clause, he would owe the entire buyout.

I forget the timeline. Did he sign before the hammer from the NCAA dropped? Is there an out for him regarding the sanctions?

It would be great 25 years down the line to still see him there. Coach Penn State through the sanctions, rebuild it from the ground up and build them into a national power.
That's not going to happen though.

It depends on what kind of person. We don't know that yet because he hasn't had to make a decision like this. My gut feeling is that he stays another year, and leaves
