Any word on who A&M is targeting for DC?

I know it's been quieter on our side but has anyone seen or heard any rumblings on who A&M is targeting to replace Elko? Or just the normal hot boards like everyone else? Does anyone think they try to move on someone quicker than LSU thinking they are beating us to the punch? I'd be curious how a top candidate would weigh the two schools knowing they can probably pay in the same range.

Think the early expectation was that they will promote on of their guys. Belk would make sense also

, the thread on the rant said the serious discussion would be on the CC board, guess not. Wondering if there is a board left where actual football discussion could be had? As far as the op, no idea, things have been very quiet which is rather unusual for such things. There’s been zero actual smoke. The same regurgitated names not too different from who I’ve seen speculated with LSU, but I don’t think there’s anything remotely concrete as to who we are targeting. We didn’t hire Elko until January if I remember correctly

I think a better question is what scheme and focus is A&M targeting.
Elko was a safeties-focused coach.
Most defensive playcallers' centers of gravity are either linebacker or safety focused.
