Any current comments from or about Chris Petersen?

I’ve looked around but haven’t found anything.
Seemed like the rumor was a few months ago he wasn’t interested in getting back when asked, but LSU may intrigue him enough to not dismiss so quickly.

He's spent his entire life west of Utah. He's not coming to LSU.

I’m not big on “fit.” But a guy who has always been a western US guy and out of coaching for a few years seems like it would be really weird with him approaching 60. Just doesn’t seem like the maniacal sec type.

Just to clarify, the “LSU may intrigue him” was presented as part of the rumor reported by others, not my conjecture.
Now, for my speculation part - considering the talk of smokescreens and such, it seems Riley’s name has really moved to the forefront…lots of talk about Kiffin and Napier - I haven’t heard Petersen’s name much.

Folks said Petersen would never leave Boise. Woodward got him to leave Boise.
Woodward is now at LSU.
But back to my original point - I am not predicting it is going to happen. I am not falling all over myself “wishing” it would happen. I’m just saying that two weeks ago his name appeared on many “lists” of potential coaches put out by reporters and such.
There have been both rumors and press conference statements about many of the other coaches on that list (lane supposedly wants the job, Riley, Aranda and tucker asked about it, etc). I simply have not seen any recent comments from or about him indicating one way or the other.

I really only have two thoughts on that.
1.He has no interest, so there's no reason to bring him up. (When it comes to coaching changes, when a name pops up, it's coming from somewhere and it's rarely if at all directly from the potential HC or AD.)
2.He has interest, but any conversations have been directly between him or his agent and Woodward, and nobody knows about it.

Those others have presumably been at the coaches' regularly scheduled press conferences. I doubt Peterson has many of those as a retired folk

I agree that Petersen is unlikely, but you can't discount anyone that has a past relationship with Woodward, the guy is a genius with disinformation, and playing the media and TD.

To be fair, Petersen's agent contacted Woodward first so he was clearly ready to leave Boise for the UW job.
