Everyone knew Herman wanted the Texas job over the LSU job but Alleva, so instead of fighting for the best coach available he quit and hired O, leaked it ASAp and made sure the press conference was before Texas' so he could say he got his man

Alleva needs to sit down and explain, with full, invasive disclosure, what he did and did not do in this search. He is a public employee and we have a right to know what happened.

Alleva had 2 options - let Herman hear out Texas or cut bait. He cut bait - if you play out scenario 2 - Herman talks to Texas, Texas offers and ultimately Herman chooses Texas - All of this is public - Does that feel better or worse what just occurred. The travesty from my perspective is the lack of transparency of the process and just how many differ coaches were evaluated - if the admin could communicate this we would all feel better I believe.

This is all so pathetic. There's no way we win championships with CEO. Great guy he's simply not a head coach. I pray we have a new AD in a couple. This one is a complete retard.

If Herman heard Texas out, Alleva could've still negotiated to a point that he felt comfortable and then just hired O anyway. No one else was hot on the Orgeron trail.

Anyone with a brain who watched college FB.. MSU hadn't had a winning season since 90 until Saban got there.. Even with the university being sanctioned out of it arse he was able to slowly turn things around.. Might want to do some research before trying something like that Jr.
