Just the opposite. Alleva needs to stay out the OC hire. Coach O is not putting all his eggs in the Kif basket. Be patient.

While I'm willing to give O a chance, I understand people who are pissed about the hire and who also don't want Kiffin. But all this waxing nostalgic about Miles and Cam is fricking RIDICULOUS!!! As soon as you insert that crap into your argument you lose the argument.
No way in HELL would I prefer to go back to Miles and Cam over Coach O and whoever the hell he brings in. But it sure does appear that many on this board would. Seems like a bunch of awfully short memories around here.

Maybe I wasn't clear and we are all entitled to our opinions I guess. My point was that finally we get rid of dumb and dumber and have an opportunity to hire coaches as a championship caliper team and we do THIS?
I can probably get behind the coach O hire as some kind of dark horse if I try but IF he wants to tie his success and LSU's to Lane fricking Kiffin??
And those of you who simply look at LK's recent success calling plays for Bama without looking at THE MAN should be ashamed of yourselves. Certainly I don't have to cite examples to support this.

Fair enough, but I'm willing to give him a chance to see if he's finally matured, just like I'm willing to see if Coach O is better now than when at Ole Miss, which I think he will be. I haven't heard of any real issues in his behavior in quite some time. And for the record, I would NOT want Kiffin as head coach. No way! But the beauty is he won't be. He'll be OC and a MUCH better one than we've had since at least Jimbo.

Not really. If LK gets a job at anywhere besides LSU he'll be able to stay on and coach thru the playoffs. LSU OC job and he'll get his marching orders.
