Here's what worries me and makes me think this may happen. Aggy has unlimited money at their fingertips and leadership willing to spend it to try to overcome their built in disadvantages of being Aggy.
LSU is a better program that doesn't have the stigma of A&M attached to it but has leadership that is not willing to overspend because the school as a whole is cash strapped.
LSU is never going to outbid A&M for anything.
Every coach has a price where they'd be stupid to say no. If Aggy offeres that price, LSU will not match it.
