He'll definitely go to the 49ers in that case. No one is right 100% of the time, but when it comes to breaking scoop like this I would be Schefter is batting in the teens.

Yeah, but I don't see why he would turn down Michigan. Pro gigs come and go, but this could be his last shot at that job.

He really is going to Michigan unfortunately.

Perhaps so

I imagine there are a lot of coaches who want nothing to do with the NFL(just like there are probably coaches up north and out west who want nothing to do with the SEC). And you can make some nice cheese in college these days.

Harbaugh belongs in college football and his roots run deep in Ann Arbor. I can't see him in the NFL. Sure, his brother is there, but they're not the same person.

Chris Balas on Rivals Radio last week and he addressed this. Balas runs the Michigan Rivals site and does a good job. He says he doesn't think that it's going to be Les Miles and that the UM administration didn't really go after Les Miles a few years back, which is consistent with what he was reporting back then at the time.

He talks about Miles at the 5:30 mark

I've never been the biggest Miles fan but I'd really hate to make a change now unless they have a damn good hire they know they can get.

It doesn't have anything to do with results does it? I don't have a problem with people who don't like him, as long as they admit that they dislike him regardless of the results.

Not a big fan of the "CEO" type of coach. I like a guy who's in control of his side of the ball for the most part.

That said, I have a lot of respect for how he seems to treat his players and assistants.

So, the results don't really matter. That's cool. Some folks are afraid to admit it.

I think with a decent OC there wouldn't be much to criticize Miles over really. I think the time issues were mainly a communication problem that starts with Crowton not knowing what in the hell he wants to do in advance of a situation.

I do think he messed up by not having a QB coach on staff to work with Jefferson, Lee, and Garrett. I refuse to believe that 3 4* guys just weren't talented or didn't have what it takes to be serviceable QBs.

It's because Schefter went to Michigan, trying to stir the pot.......

Harbaugh prefers competition with his brother over is alma mater

I hope he goes to San Fran, just to keep the coaching changes board more lively. If he goes to Michigan, the dominoes won't really fall like they would if he goes to San Fran.

Schefter lost credibility in college scoop when he said Stoops to ND was a done deal.

Schefter went to Michigan and any interview he does from his home(?) there is a visible Michigan helmet in the background. Of course he thinks he'll choose his alma mater.

Are you a Stanford fan? He would make a good hire for Michigan.
