No I don't. LSU is currently ranked 13 while ND is ranked 16 which is not that much of a difference. Over the last 5 years ND has been in the yearly playoff hunt just as much, if not more than LSU. ND actually made the playoffs in 2020. When was the last time LSU went to the playoffs? So yeah, I am not sure that ND is in that much of a lower tier that LSU currently (I actually think they are in the same tier currently).
And even you can admit that ND historically is in a tier above LSU.

The LSU offense was Jayden Daniels. Denbrock has one run play.
I'd like to pile on as much as anyone else about this but, Rattler, Gholston, Kizer, and Daniels. He's had a monster offense wherever he has gone.

Now would be a perfect time for Denbrock to leave, but he already signed an extension
LSU and the fans will be wishing he had left

He told me personally that he loves it here and wants to stick around for a few years

As an Alabama fan, which team would you rather face on a yearly basis to ensure your team of a win.

Sure. If you want to include championships from 80 years ago. I don’t.

Now tell us where the 2 programs were 2 years ago.

Where were they 3 years ago?
Look, I’m not saying that LSU is a trash program or anywhere close to that. But what about the current state of your football program makes you think you are head and shoulders above ND? Y’all had the best player in all of college football and still lost 3 games.

At least you’ve gone full mask off on your intention with this thread

You’re stupid. Just leave the thread quietly no one will notice.

Notre Dame was in the playoff and LSU was 5-5.
Now that coach rebuilding LSU, we’re on the way up they’re on the way down.

My intention was fully stated in the OP, nothing more or nothing less. I just happened to reply to an LSU fan's statement that ND is a lower tier by saying I'm "not sure ND is that much of a lower tier than LSU". It's LSU fans that took my response as some unthinkable/insane viewpoint. We are talking about ND, not a school like UNC or Indiana.
Either way, I stated in my OP that I don't see ND paying whatever his buyout is plus increasing his current salary, but nonetheless their board and mods seem to think they will (at least for now).

He may or may not be rebuilding LSU, but I'm not sure I'd call a 4 loss season and a 3 loss season (bowl game pending) as a rebuilding effort that definitively puts LSU in a tier above LSU. Maybe it will, but the results haven't shown LSU there quite there yet in my opinion.
Again, I'm not saying that I think the LSU football program is bad or anywhere near it. I actually think they are in a good place. But until the results prove that they have successfully rebuilt the program to a championship level, then I personally group them in the same tier as ND currently. You all make it seem that ND is a trash program or something.

If after the LSU-K State Texas Bowl I told you over the next two seasons:
-LSU would have two 10 win seasons
-the most prolific offense in CFB comparable in ways to 2019
-a biletnikoff finalist
-a heisman winner
-best bama one of those years
-play for the sec title one of those years
That would be a 8 or 9 out of 10 given what was left with.
It’s also much better than what that same coach did in his first 2 years in South Bend and it’s not all that comparable. BK’s 19-7 outpaced Saban’s 18-8 his first 2 years here as well.
Ready to accept defeat or do you want to keep making it yourself look bad?

Why is it? What results prove that LSU currently is head and shoulders above ND at this current point in time?
Look, in the next couple of years LSU may prove to be in another tier. But to say that in 2023 it is unthinkable/insane for someone to have the opinion that LSU currently is not in a higher tier than ND is...well I don't know what to say about it. You may disagree, but my opinion is not unthinkable or insane.

Since I’ve been old enough to drink I’ve seen LSU win 3 national titles and play for another with 2 Heismans.
Notre Dame has done neither in almost 40 years, fundamental changes in the sport make that a much less desirable job than it was in say 1973. To ignore that is myopic at best, intellectually dishonest at worst.
In literally this exact moment they may be ranked similarly, but that doesn’t mean they’re in the same tier as programs.

We are talking about the current state of the football program as a whole, not the program with the best player or the program with the better offense. The results since BK has got to LSU are four loses and three loses with the bowl game to go. ND's results the past two years are three loses and three loses with a bowl game to go.
Also we are talking about tiers which are groupings of schools. Just because I think they are in the same tier as ND doesn't mean that I think LSU doesn't have a better team. I'd just group then in the same tier group. What tier group would you put LSU in?

The results since BK has got to LSU are us moving up and them moving down
As a program? Top 10, arguably top 5.
Notre Dame would be in the teens at best.
