Now that the stuff has come out for the new A Court of Thorn and Roses books (6 and 7), I guess I'm going to have to read the Crescent City series. Damn you, Mrs. Maas.

I am reading L.A. Despair by John Gilmore right now. It is very entertaining. There are chapters on John Holmes, Eddie Nash and the Wonderland murders, 1950's film stars Barbara Payton (what a crazy broad!) and Tom Neal, etc.
Before this I read Fight of the Century, about the Joe Louis and Max Schmeling 1938 fight and their later friendship. Good book plus I have always been a big fan of Louis.
Prior to that one it was Alcatraz, The Last Escape. I enjoyed it but I am skeptical of the author's conclusions ( he is a nephew of the Anglin brothers).
