Finished Shadow Creek. It was alright, would not recommend or read again. I'm close to 100 pages into The Lions of Lucerne and I am hooked, good shite thus far

I appreciate the recommendation and looks like I'm on the Brad Thor train

I'm glad I took the time to read this thread all the way through. I've put a lot of books on my list to read. Some I'd read before and totally forgot so I may read again.

I just finished A Court of Thorns and Roses and Shadow and Bone while waiting for Golden Son. Both were recommended to me because I love ASOIAF/George RR Martin. I can't figure out why, because neither have the quality or depth to them that his books do, and the plot lines are nothing like his novels either. Shadow and Bone was interesting enough for me to continue reading the series. I'm not so sure about ACOTAR. I also didn't know either were YA until reading, especially since they were compared to ASOIAF.

I'm currently reading Golden Son. Sci fi isn't usually my thing but I'm enjoying this series a lot.

I finished The Goldfinch. Understand some of the criticisms but the characters were really strong and I was okay with the plot being a little sloppy. Really enjoyed it.

Just picked up Post Office by Bukowski for a short read and will probably start The Yiddish Policeman's Union by Chabon.

I've got $50 in B&N GCs burning a hole in my pocket and have committed to reading at least one BIG novel this year. Leaning towards Underworld or Moby Dick.

Since my last post, I've finished "The Orphan Master's Son," which was the book mentioned in my last post. (Good novel set in North Korea that looks at some of the craziness that people have to think and do there.)

I've also read book 3 of Brandon Sanderson's The Stomrlight Archive, "Oathbringer." Good stuff...escalated the action in that world. Going to be a long wait to book 4 or any other Cosmere related book.

Just started Jim Butcher's "The Aeronaut's Windlass."

When you finish Brad Thor, try Brad Taylor or Brad Meltzer.

The Girl Who Takes an Eye for an Eye.

It’s the continuation of Stieg Larsson’s Millennium Series. Not a good as the original trilogy, but Salander is probably one of my favorite characters of all time.

Good luck on that series. Try not to push right through it. Take your time and take break if you need to. If you forget who people are remember there’s a wiki for that. It’s been a little over a year since I finished the sixth book, and I need to get back into it.
