Highly recommended.
Everything from The Fly and Minority Report to Rear Window, Stagecoach, 2001: A Space Odyssey, A Christmas Story, A Man Called Horse, and on and on... The original short stories that they were based on.

The Jean Shepherd Red Ryder story in that adaptations book got me on a Shepherd kick. Just finished this book, compiled of his short stories from Playboy in the 60's. Ranges from his childhood through his junior prom. Some choice stuff.

Always wanted to read some Benchley. He was my dad's favorite. Of course the topics and references are dated, but that ads to the charm. An entire chapter about "coopers" (men who make barrels). Interesting to see what passed for cutting humor at the start of the previous century.

Reading this now. Not Shepherd's best. More of a day to day in the Army, more real than his fanciful memories of childhood.

I was only able to knock out the first chapter last night but I’m really looking forward to it.

I had the same experience with Artemis. LOVE Project Hail Mary and The Martian though so I’ll always be excited for Weir releases.
Listening to The Sandman audio production? I’d never read the comic and thought Audible’s version was fantastic. Part 2 as well which came out last fall. A Part 3 is coming out at some point as well.
