I'm about halfway through Library at Mount Char, and this book keeps on throwing curveballs at me. I just finished the chapter with Steve, the lions, the dogs, and the Indian cab driver.
That chapter cracked me up. Poor cab driver didn't know wtf he was getting into.
Once Steve and Erwin get involved the story really gets going.
One thing great bout that book is that even though there are a boatload of wtf questions throughout, pretty much everything gets answered by the end.

Just finished The Faithful and the Fallen. What an epic ride. The final battle lived up to the build up. It's not a perfect series, there were so many characters to juggle that i felt some kinda got put on the back burner after a fast start (Halion and Conall, and Pendathran isnt even mentioned in the final battle) but i enjoyed the hell out of it and thought it was an impressive debut series from Gwynne. Plenty of memorable characters but Camlin may have been my favorite. Great combo of humor and bad-assery with his bow as well as great character development. Also love all the animal inclusion, Storm was great but how could you not love Craf the crow lol.
Will probably take a break from fantasy and read some other stuff on my list before i come back to Blood and Bone, but will definitely come back to it.
SPOILERS
Thank god Storm survived. The whole series i kept thinking to myself "im going to be so fricking pissed if storm dies" and it seems that way at the end of book 3 which is why i said in a previous post that it was such a gut wrenching ending. Good on Gwynne for keeping her alive

Then Carolyn hands him the money and is like "Get to a high place and watch out for the tentacle people."
I'm at the part when Carolyn and Steve are in the library.

Currently reading The Moon is a Harsh Mistress for the first time. And I just can't get into it. Not sure if I'm just not in the right mind frame for it, but I'm kind of bored. Trying to decide whether or not to continue or move on.

Suneater is turning into one of my all time favs. The prose of the author is just on another level. Im just enjoying every sentence...man is a genius

What book are you on? I’m on disquiet gods, dudes prose is very good but he is very repetitive. I’ve liked the series but not loved it. I’ll still pick up the last one when it drops but don’t think I’ll ever reread. Just curious where you’re at. I nearly dropped but the end of Kingdom of death was good enough to make me keep at it.

Finishing up the Bloodsworn trilogy today and my library hold for this one finally ended:

I just can't make myself pull the trigger on this. Just seems too wacky/comedic.
If someone described it to me, I'd probably have thought the same thing. I recommended it to my sister, who is in no way a nerd, sci-fi/fantasy fan, and she loved them.

Has anyone read We are Legion: Bobiverse?

Yeah, it gets recommended every so often in here. It's a really good sci-fi series with a good sense of humor. The last two books haven't been as good as the first three were, but were still decent overall.
It's definitely very much worth reading.

I listened to them last year. They were entertaining.

I'll try again at some point but I found the first book starts out painfully boring (it might be the audiobook - wasnt a fan of the narrators monotone). I put it away earlier this week to start the First Law Trilogy.

The Will of the Many was good.
Book 2 comes out Nov 11th.

I’m only a few chapters in and it has already grabbed me. The protagonist reminds me of a combination of Darrow from Red Rising and Hadrian from Suneater.
When I added it to my library queue I hadn’t realized the sequel wasn’t published yet. I’m glad it isn’t a long wait. The final Suneater book comes out next month too.
