I really enjoyed the Covenant of Steel books.

Covenant of Steel is OUTSTANDING from start to finish, a big return to form for him. Somewhat predictable in the end but that is ok.

I really really enjoyed them.

Wish they had gotten more attention.

Dang, just read the synopsis. That sounds really good.

I was debating starting either Red Rising or something Sanderson next because I haven't read either, but that sounds really good.

I just read the synopsis of this. My library has it so I'm going to read it once I'm done with the First Law.

Just finished the Raveling trilogy by Alec Hutson. Pretty good fantasy. Really solid characters throughout and tells a good story. Magic "system" is a little undefined for my taste, but he made it that way intentionally from what I've seen in his Q&As.

Now I've got to find another series...

Best fantasy series in a while. I’d say next to Sanderson, he’s the best left in the game right now.

Should check out the Sun Eater series by Christopher Ruocchio if you’re into Sci-fi/Space Operas…. First book isn’t greatest…. but it’s necessary for world/character building for the remainder of the books which are phenomenal.

Nice! Can’t wait for Disquiet Gods to come out. Finished the rest of the series just a couple days ago. I get all my book on kindle these days for convenience….but that is a nice looking set.

Looks like the Sun Eater series may be next on my list. I have one more book in Tales of the Ketty Jay series, then I'll be looking for another. Sun Eater it is.

Tried to get in to Wax and Wayne by Sanderson this morning. Couldn't make it more than a couple of chapters. I might just be burnt out on his stuff. I read the Stormlight Archives, Mistborn, Warbreaker, and Elantris in the past year. Just got tired of it I reckon.

Definitely take a break and come back. I have similar burnout issues with authors. I'll say: Wax and Wayne is really solid and well worth reading. It does have a bit of a steampunk/victorian vibe, though, so if you're not into that... you might not like it period.

Good choice with suneater series, I'm a fantasy guy mainly Abercrombie and Sanderson but this series is quite good, the level this guy writes is top notch

Finished First Law/Age of Madness and gonna give Red Rising a try now. Was between that and Covenant of Steel, both sounded pretty good based on this thread.
