re: Reading Challenge 2018
As extremely hectic as my life is right now, I’ll be happy to read 1 book a month. We’ll see how that goes.

67. One Final Mission - J T Sawyer - Kindle - 151 - 09/01-09/04
-----------
Time to get a move on again. We had 5 relatives staying with us from around Memorial Day until Labor Day so that usually greatly restricted my reading times.
-----------
68. Dead End Girl - L T Vargus - Kindle - 517 - 09/05-09/10
69. Killing Season - L T Vargus - Kindle - 415 - 09/10-09/14

71. The Girl in the Sand - L T Vargus - Kindle - 401 - 09/17-09/22
72. Sleeping Beauties - Stephen & Owen King - HB - 701 - 09/23-10/16
-----------
a. Damn, it's tough to read as much once football season starts.
b. My daughter's golden retriever ate my Sleeping Beauties library book back on 9/29. $33 and a few days later I checked out another copy (different library) and resumed reading.
-----------
73. Unknown World - Chris Pike - Kindle - 238 - 10/17-10/19
74. Bad Blood - L T Vargus - Kindle - 388 - 10/22-10/26
75. Heart-Shaped Box - Joe Hill - PB - 374 - 10/27-10/28
76. Empire Dawn - Dietmar Wehr - Kindle - 229 - 10/29-10/30
77. Holy Ghost - John Sandford - HB - 384 - 10/30-11/02
78. Harden - D J Molles - Kindle - 351 - 11/02-11/07
79. Elevation - Stephen King - HB - 146 - 11/07-11/08
80. The Associate - John Grisham - HB - 384 - 11/08-11/10
81. Unwanted World - Chris Pike - Kindle - 247 - 11/11-11/12
82. Horns - Joe Hill - HB - 370 - 11/13-11/15
83. Remains (After the Purge: Vendetta, Book 3) - Sam Sisavath - Kindle - 348 - 11/16-

By the way, page counts of Kindle books are a bunch of malarky. For example, take book number 60. There are at least 3 Kindle versions available. 249 pages (975k), 252 pages (784k), and 319 pages (481k). Also, I've read Kindle books that are supposedly short that took much longer than normal for me; others have been just the opposite.

I'm getting tired of Thor. Any short novels y'all would recommend to read today? Fiction would be ideal

If you like sci fi at all - foundation, foundation and empire and second foundation are three great books all under three hundred pages. I don't read much sci fi and really enjoyed them, very smart writing which moves along quickly and a ton happens in those 275 or so pages.

I commute 4.5 hours per day(I don’t drive):

Therefore I have plenty of time to read. My only competition is answering emails and watching replays of LSU games on ESPN app. I’m also writing a screenplay.

I’ll set a goal of 48 books.

After a nice little intro to the year I’ve decided to throw a curveball into my challenge. After close to two years of stepping away from the series I’m going to return to The Wheel of Time. Starting A Crown of Swords today. Good luck everyone that is continuing their 2018 challenge.
